All the plugins were created with Flowstone (or it's predecessor, Synthmaker). Those at the top of the 'Synths' page are 64-bit; the rest are 32-bit; all Windows-only. Each synth's folder includes the original FS/SM schematics so that people with FlowStone can modify them for themselves. Most have an 'Info' or 'Notes' button on their panels that will display info on the plugin.
Thanks to the great work and kind generosity of Martin Vicanek vicanek.de/, many of the instruments now feature custom-coded, low-CPU oscillators rather than the stock Synthmaker ones. More are being added.
These were created initially for my own use and amusement and I make no claim that they actually sound like the hardware synths they are emulations of / based on / inspired-by, for none of them use analog-modeling oscillators or filters.
Most include few or no presets; I wanted to come at the instruments anew each time, as one did with vintage analog hardware. Most of the most recent ones at the top of the home page do have anywhere from a few to many presets; it varies a lot.
Again, my aim with these was to create a free way to experience the interesting signal and control structures of these synths, not to fool anyone into thinking they are sound-alikes.
Please, if you find anything that doesn't seem to be functioning let me know by e-mailing me using the button at the top of the page.

Latest Update: 5/18
CS78q - (~Yamaha CS70M). A fairly complete approximation of the structure of the CS70M, but rather than the oscs being
Saw/Pulse OnOff, they can crossfade from Pulse to any of the waveforms from the Ensoniq SQ-80. GUI in the style
of the CS-80, because the 70M was uuuggly! Several features of the CS-80 added, but no sequencer, unison or
key splits. Added 9/23. Interesting comparison of CS70M and CS-80: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaOtp_MTXqQ
CS-gx - (~Yamaha CS-80). Only the basic synth-voice structure of CS-80, no ribbon, FX, etc. Replaces the Ring Mod with a
second LFO. Aftertouch controls can be replaced with mod wheel control. Oscillator waveform mixing based on the
Yamaha GX-1's voice programming 'Tone Board'. To Saw and/or Pulse can be added High-pass filtered Pulse, Tri an octave higher and Hi-pass filtered Saw. Latest update 10/19
A 3.5 - (~Grp A4). GUI and feature set based on the Grp A4, but without the sequencer, so -'A 3.5'. A few features from the
A8 have been included. Three oscillators with cross-mod, ring mod and sync. Dual LFOs (one voltage-controlled),
Dual Sub Oscs at -1 oct or -2 oct, Dual Filters that can be used in series, parallel or stereo pair, and Sample and Hold

Chorg DS-600 - Based on the Korg DS-8, but with Modulator/Carrier controls, and three pairs rather than two.
Latest update: 11/27/16
Chorg 870 DV - (~Korg 800DV). Many thanks to 'Knob Twiddler' for doing the param-naming. Latest update: 10/15/16
Chorg Pano/Poly - (Korg Mono/Poly). No arpeggiator no 'parophony'; standard mono/polyphonic. Adds a few functions that are
popular mods to the hardware. Adds a High Pass filter in series with the Low Pass (like several early Korg
synths). Synth is full stereo, with pan controls for each oscillator and Noise (hence, the name).
Added 10/19.
Chorg PS-20 - (~Korg MS-20). With patch-cords! Latest update: 3/4/17 Added 7/18, PS-20a which reorganizes the patching
more along the lines of u-he's ACE, with most patch points in the sections they are associated with rather than
the cramped and confusing patch section at the panels's upper right.
Added 64bit version 10/23, with drop-down patching instead of virtual cables.
copperHead - (~mashup of ARP synths). An 'original' design, a collection of features from ARP 2500, 2600, Odyssey, the
CMS 2607 and the 2600-inspired Macbeth M5. copperHead II has a single Multimode Filter patterned loosely
after the ARP 2500's 1047 Multimode Filter. copperHead_gx has oscillators patterned after those
in the Yamaha GX-1. Updated 12/18.
copperHead_2602 - ('deluxe' ARP 2600). Imagines a custom-built 2600 clone with a brushed copper panel, 'Bakelite' knobs and
solid metal toggle switches. Also all three oscillators have all the features of 2600's VCO 2, and both EGs are
ADSR. Updated 12/18.
copperOdy II - (~ARP Odyssey). A fairly accurate and complete functional (not sonic) emulation of the Odyssey re-imagined with
a brushed copper panel, solid metal toggle switches and sliders with full-size caps. Incorporates a number of
common Odyssey mods, plus full patchability. copperOdy_os is the same, but without the mods and this version
is also available with cable patching. copperOdy II updated 9/19.
CROMA II-v - (~Rhodes Chroma). Based on the architecture of a single layer of the Chroma. Now oscs can switch to those
from the Prophet VS. Updated 8/17/23.
Cronus - (~Roland Gaia). Puts all three 'synthlines' on a single edit pane. Only an approximation of Gaia's concept and structure
of the synth itself; no arp, sequencer, layers etc. Updated 3/19.
CS-300 - (~ Yamaha CS-30L). More flexible mixers/some features from the CS-15 included. Section arranged as in the CS-15.
In a vintage-y 'Radio Days' GUI, as the hardware CS monosynths were butt-ugly. Includes presets based on the
CS-30L patchbook. Added 8/23.
CSOh1 - (~Yamaha CS01). with polyphony, osc self-detuning, Velocity and Aftertouch. Now 64-bit, with re-sizable GUI.
Updated 7/20.
CSOh My! - As above, but two independent synthlines and all the waveforms from the Prophet VS and Ensoniq SQ-80. Added 8/23.
CyRinx II - (~Synton Syrinx). Syrinx had unusual 2-tab touch plate in place of bend and mod wheels; functions here assignable tp
Mod Wheel, Aftertouch or Velocity and Bend Wheel, Aftertouch or Velocity. Unusual double Peak filter + Low Pass.
Panel can be changed to six different colors. Version II with upgraded oscillators that can choose between a version
of the original switched Tri/Saw/Pulse oscillators, that cross-fades between waveforms, and Martin Vicanek's padOsc,
that a generate rich, stereo output based the ZinAddSubFX algorithm. Updated 6/20. Rex Basterfield has kindly
provided a 64-bit export of this, with re-sizable GUI; thank you, sir!
Dark Four - (~ Four Doepfer Dark Energy-inspired modules). v1.01 - 5/18
Dark Steps - (~ Three Doepfer Dark Energy, plus 3x8 / 2x16 stepLFO).
Ranked #28 in Amazona's Top 50 free vsts of 2017.
Dark Three-stick - (~Dark Energy+CAT Stick) Three modules coupled to CAT Stick, in place of the stepLFO. Added 4/19.
DodecaMax - (Bucha Dodecamodule + nine 200-style modules). Adds to the Dodecamodule the maximum number of 200-
style modules that will fit comfortably on most displays without scrolling:
- Two 258-style Dual Oscillators.
- One Modulation Oscillator/Primary Oscillator (FM) styled after the 261e.
- Quad Envelope Generator.
- Quad LPF/VCA.
- Triple Output stepLFO/Pulse source.
- Dual Source of Random Voltages.
- Dual Control Voltage Processor.
- Six Channel Mixer.
- Set of keyboard controls and 4-way Joystick based on certain features of the 221 Kinesthetic Input Port.
Ranked #27 in Amazona's Top 50 free vsts of 2017. Upgraded 5/18 with custom-coded, low-CPU
oscillators by Martin Vicanek.
Also available is DodecaMax II with modules selected to minimize redundancy with Dodeca functions.
DualMulti_Stick - Same as Multipoly (see below), but 'stack' of two plus an approximation of the Octave CatStick. Updated 12/18
DX Won - (~Yamaha DX7). Not all functions replicated - mostly, envelopes are simplified to DAHDSRs. Dynamic graphic
display of Algorithms; Operators arranged in Algo 5/6 orientation. Updated to v1.03 6/20. Named DX Won
because GUI is inspired by the DX1, and because of the DX7's long dominance of the digital synth market.
Like FM7, adds a second LFO. Thanks to Rex Basterfield (flowstoners.com/quilcom) for the envelopes and
for the envelopes and help with CPU load.
ElektroComp 102 - (~ElectroComp EML-101). Fully patchable (drop-down); some features included from predessor, EML-100.
Also available coupled to a CatStick. Added 7/18.
ElektroComp 1301 - (ElectroComp EML-101 + EML-301 Manual Controller). Manual Controller adds another LFO, X/Y joystick,
additional VCO/LFO, Sampler, simple A/R envelope, VCA and a set of sixteen Manual Voltage Sources,
with activating push-buttons that also trigger the A/R or the main synth's EGs. Added 7/18.
Ele-mints - (~Macbeth Elements). GUI imagines a version with vintage Bakelite knobs and a brushed copper panel. Lacking
a few functions, a few functions added. Added 1/19.
EmmVee FM - (~Tone2 Nemesis). Loosely based on the FM structure of the Nemesis, but the multiwaves for the operators
created with the very unique Spread Partials oscillator by Martin Vicanek. Added 8/23.
Endeavour - (~never-ware Helmtronic Challenger). Based on the structure and controls of the Challenger (of which apparently
only a couple were made). The basic analog-waveforms can switch to a bank of all the waves from the Prophet
VS, or one containing all the waves/samples from the Ensoniq SQ-80. Includes an extended mod bus, teo addt'nl
LFOs and an extra envelope. Basic Chorus, Delay and the fabulous MVerb 7b by Martin Vicanek. Added 8/2/20.
evol-Vox - (~DSI Evolver). Just a loose approximation of the basic synth voice of the Evolver, not the sequencer, arp, effects,
etc., all of which can be better provided for in your DAW environment - just the osc/filters/modulation architecture.
Oscillators 3 and 4 have different wavetable shapes than the hardware and there's no wave sequencing.
Updated 12/18.
eXpando - (~Oberheim Xpander). Just most of the core synth voice structure. Also available in a version with different, more
flexible oscillator waveform controls (eXpando_osc2). Latest update: 11/13/16
eXpando II - As above, with more flexible oscillator waveform controls. Added: 4/18.
FirstFM-sp - (~ Yamaha GS-1). Full edit of params on all eight operators, not just presets as on the GS-1. Carriers can be complex
waves, not just sines (as were the carriers of the Synclavier, but here it's done with Martin Vicanek's Spread Partials
oscillators, rather than additive ones). Added 8-23.
Flow Tone - (~ Elektron Digitone) An FM synth with simplified but flexible controls, with massive help from Rex Basterfield
who created most of the core 'function blocks'. GUI borrows heavily (with permission) from Adam Szabo's 'Viper'.
Added 8/22.
FM-Sp - (~ NED Synclavier's FM synth). A considerable simplification of the Synclavier's FM synth (no Timbre Frames, etc.).
In place of rather tedious additive oscs for the carriers, the much simpler Spread Partials oscs by Martin Vicanek
are used. Alternatively, one can manually draw waveshapes for the carriers, or load .txt wavetables. GUI styled
after the Yamaha CS-80 (for no particular reason). Added 8/23.
FM-Sq - As above, but with all the actual waves from the Ensoniq SQ-80 for the Carrier waveforms, in addition to additive oscs.
Using the Ensoniq's 'Saw 2' wave on all four pairs, it can come pretty close to the 'Gong intro' from Michael Jackson's
'Beat It': soundcloud.com/user-3381640/beatitgong-fm-sq?si=cd78e60e0d954c7eb0cb0d13f56761c9&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing
Four On Two - An 'original' design that draws primary inspiration from the late-lamented Dave Smith Evolver. In place of the
Distortion, Hack and tunable Feedback, the structure is expanded to each pair of oscillators feeding their own
stereo Filters/Amps; resulting in a 'dual-synthline' design like the Yamaha CS-series synths. Also has a second
modulation envelope. Filters are inpired by the unique filter in the rare ElectroComp 100 - Multimode that cross-
fades LP > BP > HP > BR , then back to LP. Here, this cross-fading is also modulatable. Added 4/19.
gM-32 - (~Moog Mother-32, plus Grandmother). An amalgam of the structures of the Moog Mother-32 and Grandmother. The
Mother-32 based section has had it's patch points arrayed across the top of it, like Grandmother; the patch points
placed above the functions they are related to. Each of the two sections has had a stereo pan control added to it's
output. Updated 12/18.
IMIJ - (~Black Corp. Kijimi). Based on a harware synth that itself is based on the RSF Polykobol. Added 2/20.
KrossWave - (~Ensoniq SQ-80). This is actually the creation of 'Spogg' (dba "Quilcom") over at the DSP Robotics forum, with
lots of help from 'tulamide'. I only created the GUI and added a few extra functions. v1.02 now includes a MixPad
which allows cross-fading between the three oscs with a single mouse-motion. This can also be modulated by any
of the available sources. This can alternately be controlled by MIDI X/Y stick/pad. Major 6/20 update; v1.1 can now
select between the original Ensoniq multistage envelopes or simpler AHDSR/DADSR types. Oscillators can also be
switched for those containing all the waves from the Prophet VS. 7/20 - added 64-bit.
Krumar DS-3 + (~Crumar DS-2). Repalces the 'Poly' section with a third multiwave oscillator; lots of additional funtionality, most
important of which is the replacement of the LFO's Mixer's selector switches with continuous crossfaders and the
selection of LFO waveforms at each of the LFO's Mixer's target sections, rather than globally at each LFO.
Also available as DS-3_os (for Old School) without all the added features.
Added 9/19.
Luge - (~StudioLogic Sledge). Latest update: 2/2/16
Mk-5600 - (~Macbeth M-5). GUI more closely resembles the ARP 2600 than the M-5, with simpler and less confusing VCF/VCA/
Output sections, and u-he style Multiplexes.
maGGi - (~single 'layer' of Elka Synthex). With a GUI that recalls vintage studio rack equipment from the '50s and '60s. Joystick
functions can be controlled by MIDI stick ot XY pad, or by other external contollers. Added 2/20.
maGGi 70 - (~MCS 70). Takes a stab at what the very rare MCS 70 was like, which was designed by the creator of the Elka
Synthex - Mario Maagi. Scant techical details available online, so much of it is a guess. Added 2/20.
Matrix-Six1 - (~most of the core synth functions of Oberheim Matrix-6, in the livery of Oberheim OB-1). Oscillators enhanced with
waveform cross-fading. Also available with two2-op FM tone generators in place of the VCOs (Matrix-SixFM ).
Latest update : 4/18 (Matrix-Six1 v1.01).
minDy - NO, it doesn't sound like a minimoog - how could it; it's made with bog-standard Flowstone innards (actually the oscillators
are custom-coded low-CPU; they just don't attempt to replicate the minimoog's). Includes most of the added features
and functions of the Roland SE-02 (but not the sequencer). 128 presets by Manfred Plumer. Oscilators by Martin
Vicanek. vicanek.de/ Added 4/20.
minDy S - As above, but with standard mini architecture and optimizations by Spogg over at the Flowstone forum, also utilizing
some custom oscillators based on those by Martin Vicanek, and Filter coded from scratch. Read included PDF to see
what work was done - amazing; much closer to vintage analog sound. Even includes some very nice presets.
Plus extensive additinal Banks by Manfred Plumer. Two GUI sizes; sep version for FL Studio w/o Ext Audio In.
Updated 3/20. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvkUwghcTmw

Nebula -K- (~Novation SuperNova). Core synth voice only - no effects, vocoder, etc. Latest update: 2/2/17
NeuOld FM-s - (~Tone2 Nemesis). Another based on the Nemesis' basic FM structure, but here the operators utilize the actual
waveforms from the Ensoniq SQ-80. Added 9/23.
odyKAT - (Octave CAT + ARP Odyssey). All the features and functions of both, including the 'Factory Modifications' that were
available as kits from Octave. Added 4/20.
OB-2 - (~Oberheim OB-1, with doubled Oscs/Filt/Amps, like Two Voice). Latest update: 5/18
Obie-12 - (~'Oberheim'/Viscount OB-12). Voice structure emulation only; no layers, splits, arp, etc. Latest update: 1/27/17
Obie 2V - (~Oberheim Two Voice). v1.01 - 5/18
OdyPatch - (~ARP Odyssey with patch cords; patch field inspired by Madrona Labs' Aalto). Latest update: 1/25/17
Osciet - (~Teisco 100F, 110F, SX-400) Based primarily on the 110F, with added features from the 100F and SX-40. GUI not taken
from the hardware, but in the style of vintage recording studio equipment.
Paddy-kb - Utilizes a completely original sound generation 'engine' by Martin Vicanek, based on an idea by Nasca Octavian Paul.
The synth architecture is built around this engine is based on the Roland SH-101, but with several added functions.
Includes a multitap delay by Rex Basterfield and reverb, also by Vicanek. Also available is Paddy 2, with a second
wavetable generator that can be tuned +/- 24 semitones relative to the first, each generator has a dedicated stereo
width adjustment, and EGs expanded to AHDSR. Added 5/20. Paddy-kb updated 6/20 to 64-bit with re-sizable
GUI.
Paddy-vs - As above, but with a second oscillator that cantains all the factory waves from the Prophet VS. Added 6/20.
Pad-Mx - As below, but each oscillator can switch between a padOsc, as used in the above instruments, an oscillator containing
all the factory waves from the Prophet VS, and can blend between any two of them. Added 6/20.
PB-Mx - (~Oberheim OB-Mx). Approximates a single voice card of the OB-Mx, but with full plyphony. Includes a few features from
the prototype that were dropped from the final product. With a GUI that recalls vintage Pultec rack-mount gear.
Added 2/20.
Piggott - (~ARP Modular Synthesizer Lab) Based on the selection of modules in the system of Don Muro. It's basically a fully
modular version of the Odyssey, but with dual LFOs, dual Filters and dual Amps. Named after Tom Piggott, who led
the MSL development. Only a handful of presets, because the while point of the MSL was to teach and learn
modular synthesis with a simple system. Added 4/20.
Polly - (~Moog Polymoog). A very approximate approximation! v 1.01 6/18
PolyStep II - Replaces original PolyStep. Inspired by the Quasimidi Polymorph, but with simple stepLFOs and simpler oscs; no FX.
Added 5/18.
prOBthree - (~Sequential Pro 3 + OB-Mx). Combines a three-oscillator compliment similar to the Pro3, with a dual filter setup and
one of it's three LFOs based on the OB-Mx. Upgraded 6/20 to 64-bit with re-sizable GUI.
PulOddy - (~ARP Odyssey). Imagines what the Odyssey might have looked like if it were made in the mid 60s by Pultec.
Added features include: dedicated Vibrato LFO, extra waveforms, Sub Osc, AR env can be ADSR, four LP filter
types and full Pitch Bend and Mod Wheel functions. Includes a 'rack' with three effects - Quad Chorus and reverb
by Martin Vicanek and a multitap Delay by 'Spogg'. Added 2/20.
Randy + II - Two independent voices built around Martin Vicanek's 'RandomOsc', which uses a unique 'randomization' to create
a wide range of timbres. Added 8/23.
RevToo - (~Sequential Prophet Rev2). Added 2/20.
Rolend Block-1 - (~Roland System 700 'Block-1' Main Cabinet). Drop-down patching. Also available is a version that exchanges
the Amp/Follower/Integrator module for a second Dual Envelope Generator. Updated 1/19.

The 'Stick' provides two additional LFOs. Latest update 5/18.
Sub 88 - (~Moog Sub 37). Called Sub 88 because not limited to a 37-key keyboard. Multimode filter. Basically a WYSIWYG
simplification of the Sub 37 with oscillators more similar to the Phatty. No deep menu-hidden funtions.
Added 1/19. Upgraded to 64bit with resizable GUI 12/22.
Super 35 - (~NI Super 8). A vst of a vst - why? Because Super 8 can only be used within Kontact, it 'left out' some obvious
features and it looks to me like a Fisher Price toy. I gave my version a Pultec-style GUI. Added 2/20.
SV-Two - (~a pair of Pittsburgh Modular SV-1 'synth voices'). Second envelope added to both 'voice' modules.
A few functions not included, simplified or incompletely implemented. Added 6/18.
SYDsoniq - (~SID chip architecture). Structure based on that of the SID synth IC used in the Commodore 64 and many early video
games. Does NOT emulate the SID's sound; rather than the three standard waveforms of the SID, it has all the
waveforms of the Ensoniq SQ-80. Each of the three oscs can blend two SQ-80 waves, and/or detune or interval
tune them. Added 10/23.
Syntha-kon - (~Steiner-Parker Synthacon). Latest update: 1/3/17
Synthegrated 35A - (~Moog modular System 35A). Drop-down patching. Inputs have integral attenuators, so much less patching
things through attenuator/mixer modules. Serious upgrade from the earlier Synthegrated 35B, with
gain structure, controls behaviour and closer-to-hardware relative signal levels. Martin Vicanek custom-
coded oscillators and re-tuned SVF filters throughout. Rebuilt and re-named 5/18.
Synthe-System - (~Steiner-Parker Synthasystem 'Basic Studio'). Drop-down patching; a few functions not emulated. Also available
is Synthe-System_plus, which adds a fourth VCO, a second VCF and swaps the Voltage Follower with a second
VCA/Mixer. Also available with an emulation of the Octave CAT Stick.
Synthy P - (~EMS Synthi Professional). Osc 3 can toggle to a step LFO. Latest update: 2/12/16
SystemOne D - (~small Buchla modular). Just a rough stab at Complex Oscillators, but similar in concept. Panel has a hot-link to
Buchla's wesite. Latest update: 5/18
SystemOne E - (~slightly larger Buchla modular). Simple step LFO standing in for Sequential Voltage Source, random voltage
sources only approximated. Panel has a hot-link to Buchla's website. Latest update: 5/18
SystemOne G - Selection of Buchla 200-style modules that emphasizes variety of functions.
tableBlend-vs - (~ DSI Prophet 12). Overall structure inspired by the Prophet 12, but with the waveforms from the Prophet VS, and
the Ensoniq SQ-80. General GUI design 'borrowed' (with kind permission) from Adam Szabo's 'Viper' plugin.
T-forTwo - (~Sequential T8) GUI displays both full synth control sets for the two layers or split. No sequencer. Added 10/19.
the KAT/stick - (~ Octave's the CatStick coupled with the CAT synth.) A little cheating as to what the stick can control as
the CAT only had a KB CV in and footpedal jacks for filter and VCO1. Here the stick can control either or both
VCO fr, VCO 1 PW, VCF and VCA. To replicate the pedal jacks, the mod wheel can be assigned to either VCF
or VCO 1 fr.
theKwad - (~Vermona perFOURmer). Added 2/20.
The Dodeca_suite - (~ Buchla Dodecamodule + most controls from the 221 Kinesthetic Input Port. Latest update 5/6/17
The Dodeca 258 - with two 258-style Dual Osc + a Dual Voltage Processor.
The Dodeca 258c - with a 4-Channel Comb Filter.
The Dodeca 258s - with a Triple Step LFO.
The Dodeca III - with one Complex 281e-style Osc, one Dual 258-style osc + Dual Volt Proc.
The Dodeca IIIc - with s 4-Channel Comb Filter.
The DodecaPlex - with two Complex 281e-style Osc + Dual Volt Proc.
The DodecaPlex c - with 4-Channel Comb Filter.
Latest update: 5/18
The Music Weasel - (~Buchla Music Easel). Step LFO in place of sequencer. Different waveform generation. Latest update: 4/18
The Music Weasel_221 - Same as above, but with 221-style keyboard controls. Latest update - 5/6/17
The Putnie_os - (~EMS VCS3 'Putney'). Patch pins and all! No, the filter doesn't sound like the real one!
Includes functions from the DK keyboard (addtn'l osc, velocity, etc.). Latest update: 6/19
the simpleShruth - (~Mutable Instruments Shruthi-1) . So-called because the oscillators are much simpler than Shruthi - just the
analog-style waveforms; no scannable wavetables. Does include a few functions from Ambika, like four
LFOs and the third envelope. Updated 12/18.
the V-Suite - A multi-synth comprising three complete synth voices using Martin Vicanek's Spread Partials oscs, PadOsc, and
Random Partials osc. Most in here is Vicanek's work, with my doing mostly the GUI, but he asked that I include it on
my site. My only real contribution to it's workings are putting two Spread Patials oscs in each of those modules, that
can be combined in four different ways (Detune/Interval tune, AM, FM, and PWM). An FX module contains a Delay,
Vicank's 'Korous' and his 'MVerb7B'. Updated to v1.009 10/23; added Vicanek's 'StringOrch' first module.
the V-3 - (Drawbar organ emulation). A companion piece to 'the V-Suite', done in a matching GUI style, this is Vicanek's take on
a classic drawbar organ. I've added a second set of drawbars that one can switch between, as with the Preset keys on
the Hammond. Also the ability to use a MIDI expression pedal (or control the volume with the mod wheel).
Throttle - (~Accelerator by Radikal Techologies. A conventional XY pad in place of the Accelerator's motion-sensor accelerometer.
String Filter based on Karplus-Strong modules by Martin Vicanek. Added 5/19.
twoBYthree - Inspired by Ableton's Operator hybrid synth, without the additive synthesis and this has three operator/oscillator pairs
in a fixed 'algorithm' (like DX7 algo #5) rather than four that can be arranged in multiple algorithms. In addition,
each pair has it's own Filter/Output section rather than all going to a single filter/amp. Oscillator pairs can each be
analog-type that are mixed together, sync'd or ring modulated, or can be an FM Modulator/Carrier pair.
Added 4/18
TwoSEM_stick - Oberheim SEM-inspired, with two modules plus my simulation of the Octave CatStick. Latest update 5/18.
Tone Boardz - same as 80-vox, but with emulation of a pair of programming 'Tone Boards' from the mighty GX-1, in place of the CS-80 VCO/VCF/VCA arrangement. v1.02 Latest update: 5/18
tonus 2620 - (~ARP 2600). Drop-down patching, otherwise very complete emulation of features/structure. Major update: 1/19.
v1.01
tonus 2813 - (~ARP Odyssey). With SubOsc and second LFO added. Other enhancements.
Ranked #44 in Amazona's Top 50 free vsts of 2017. Upgraded 5/18 with custom-coded, low-CPU oscillators
by Martin Vicanek.
tonus Explorer AT+ - (~ARP Explorer II). Includes several of the aftertouch controls of the ARP Pro Soloist.
Latest update: 10/14/17.
tonus Nineteen70 - (~ARP 2500). Functional approximations of a small set of 2500 modules; several different combinations of
modules. Also available is Left Wing, which simulates the Left wing cabinet of Pete Townshend's ARP
2500 system, and OdyWing, which has modules selected to provide the overall functions of the ARP
Odyssey. Added 7/18. Nineteen70_m added, and Left Wing updated 1/19.
tonus ProColorist - (~ARP Pro Soloist). In place of preset sound tabs, most of the internal voice programming controls brought out
to the front panel. Many thanks to 'bluesmoke' for doing the param-naming. Latest update: 5/18
TriloGee - (~Crumar Trilogy). Inspired by the general structure and panel design of the Trilogy, but individual section functions
quite different and more capable. 64-bit with re-sizable GUI. Added 7/20.
Triple Paddy - Three of Martin Vicanek's implimentation of the PADsynth algorithm from the ZynAddSubFX synth by Nasca
Octavian Paul. These feed my FlowStone approximation of the 'Three Sisters' modular filter by Mannequins.
The basic synth structure built around this is borrowed heavily from Adam Szabo's 'Viper'- a software emulation
of the Access Virus: three LFOs, dedicated Filter and Amp envelopes, two Modulation envelopes, and a six-
slot Modulation Bank. Also imitated the Viper GUI a bit (hopefully Adam will consider this the flattery of imitation
and not a rip-off job! ;- ) Added 8/20. 64-bit with re-sizable GUI.
TwoPro - Approximates a pair of current-issue Oberheim SEMs, with external CV input connections and several features and
functions of the Two Voice Pro (without the Mini Sequencer). Added 5/18.
Vektor - (~Prophet VS). Contains the actual waves form the VS, with a bit simpler vector system; paths are recorded and played
back, but there is no dedicated vector envelope. Compound waveshapes created by the joystick can be saved
and re-loaded. 64-bit, with resizable GUI. updated to v1.02 7/20.
Voyette SPT - (~Octave Voyetra) Inspired by the Voyetra Eight, but closer to a stereo pair of Voyetra One, but polyphonic.
Added 4/19.
VQ-800 - (~Roland JD-800). Not an emulation of the Roland, just inspired by it's basic concept and structure: a 'stack' of four
identical single-osc synths, each with a dedicated pair of LFOs and pitch, filter and amp envelopes. Rather than
the JD-800's waveset, it has all the waves of the Prophet VS and all the waves/samples of the Ensoniq SQ-80.
Added 8/14/20. 64-bit with resizable GUI.
WaveShape-vs - (~2x Roland SH101, +). Two independent voices, each has basic structure of Roland SH-101, but with much
more complex/flexible oscillators, which can switch between Martin Vicanek's 'WaveShape' oscillators or a pair
detunable oscs with all the waves from the Prophet VS. M.V.'s WaveShape oscs can morph seamlessly from sine
to saw, and/or sine to pulse, with the morph being modulatable.
Yumaha CS75M g - (~ Yamaha CS70M) To the CS70M feature set is added many functions from the CS-80 and oscillator wave/
filtered-wave controls from the Tone Setting box for the GX-1. Some fixes 7/23.
ZMZ 2000 - vst 'actualization' of a hardware synth that was heavily promoted but never materialized, and may have only been a
hoax - the SMS 2000. Latest update: 11/22/16
Zoomchak - (~Moog Sonic Six). Named for the principle designer of the synth it was a slight modification of (MuSonics Sonic V),
Gene Zumchack. Latest update: 1/3/17
ZoomChak pro - (same a above, but luxed-out with far more flexible mod routing, envelopes and filter. Latest update: 1/3/17
ZoomChak pro II - Three oscillator version. Added 4/18
update - 5/18
200 E - Represents what Buchla 200-style modules would need to be assembled to have all the capabilities of the Music Easel.
200 K - Same as 200 C, but swaps a Complex Waveform Generator for the third Dual Osc, a Triple-Output stepLFO for the
Dual Ring Mod and a Four Channel Comb Filter for the Dual CV Adder. Latest updtae - 5/18
200 M - Inspired by the small Dodecamodule-based Buchla 200 system once owned by David Morely. Approximations of :
- Dodecamodule.
- Two 258-style Dual Oscillators.
- Quad stepLFO.
- 10-Channel Comb Filter.
- Dual Voltage Processor.
- Keyboard controls and 4-output Joystick based on the 221 Kinesthetic Input Port.
Latest update: 5/18
200 Max - Maximum number of Buchla 200 module approximations that fit on most displays without scrolling, with emphasis on
variety of functions:
- Two 258-style Dual Oscillators.
- One Modulation Oscillator/Primary Oscillator (FM), styled after the 261e.
- Quad Envelope Generator.
- Quad LoPass/VCA.
- Quad stepLFO/Pulse Source.
- Dual BPF.
- Ten-Channel Comb Filter.
- Dual Source of Random Voltages.
- Dual Voltage Processor.
- Six Channel Mixer.
Dual LFOs (one voltage-controlled),
Dual Sub Oscs at -1 oct or -2 oct, Dual Filters that can be used in series, parallel or stereo pair, and Sample and Hold
that can select from several inputs. Added 1/18.
Cassini_M - (~between Moog Voyager and Voyager OS). Has the Mod Busses enhanced to allow up to six simultaneous Shapers Added 5/19.
Updated 3/20. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvkUwghcTmw
minimodular - (~small Moog modular with modules that reflect functions of minimoog). Latest update: 2/21/17
mOdyCat - (~Octave CAT), plus 'factory mods' and features/panel layout from ARP Odyssey.
Multipoly - (~Moog Multimoog). v 1.01 Aftertouch controls can toggle to Velocity or mod wheel control.
Latest update: 12/18.
Rolend Block-8 - (~Roland System 700 Block-8 'Lab' configuration). Available with drop-down patching or virtual patch cables!
Latest update: 2/18/17
Rolend Cronus - (~Roland Gaia). Just the three osc/filt/amp synthlines, plus a couple of FX. Latest update: 11/10/16
Rolend JP-680 - (~Roland Jupiter-8 + Jupiter-6). Looks like Jupiter-8, adds a few features from Jup-6; sounds like neither ; - }
Upgraded to 64-bit with re-sizable GUI 6/20.
Rolend PG-238 - (partial mash-up of Roland JX-3P, JX-8P and Alpha Juno). GUI based on the JX-3P's programmer, the
PG-200. Adds a second LFO. Additional Osc waveforms that cross-fade. Also available as PG-238s which
adds a shitty chorus and a stepLFO. Name is based on the names of the programmers for these three synths:
JX-3P: PG-200, Alpha Juno: PG-300 and JX-8P: PG-800. v1.01 Update added 5/18.
Rolend SH-3p - (~Roland SH-3). Adds the ability to stereo detune the 5 'ranks', more octave choices for each, and more wave
choices for each.
Rolend SH-12 - (~Roland SH-1 / SH-2 mash-up). Latest update: 1/19. Also available as a two-synth 'stack'.
Rolend SH-1200 - (~Roland SH-1000 w/o the 'Pre-Setting tablets', but with the aftertouch controls from the SH-2000).
Rolend SH-57 - (~Roland SH-5 / SH-7 mash-up, in SH-5 livery). Latest update: 2/21/17
Rolend SH-75 - (~Roland SH-7 / SH-5 mashup, in SH-7 livery). Latest update: 1/22/17
Rolend System 101Max_suite - (~Roland System 100M, in imaginary 7-module racks; modules have some added features)
101Max - Two 2VCO, with additional waveforms and FM.
Two 2VCF, CS-80 style HP VCF in series with LP VCF.

101M_E set - Configuration described in Roland brochures as 'E Set':
- Three 'voice' VCO-VCF-VCA
- 2ENV-LFO
- Noise-Ring S/H LFO
101M_stick - 'standard' config of modules, but with many enhanced features, and the addition of an
emulation the Octave CatStick. Ranked #50 in Amazona's Top 50 free vsts of 2017.
Upgraded 5/18 to custom-coded, low distortion oscillators by Martin Vicanek.
Rolend System-500p - (~Roland System-500 modular.) Drop-down patching. Latest update: 1/25/17
SeeEss 15 - (~Yamaha CS-15). In addition to the standard waveforms, can select any of the actual waves from the Ensoniq
SQ-80. Osc mixers expanded to four inputs each. Added 8/23. Check out Marc Doty's videos on the CS-15;
SeeEss 15 can do all that and much more. www.youtube.com/watch?v=11Jtqbi0l6M
Also, Alex Ball's vid: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vp_Ps8VCMGw
simpleONE - (~Moog One) A very much-simplified approximation of the Moog One. It's somewhat to the One as the Voyager OS
was to the original Voyager - mostly WYSIWYG panel controls with very little menu-accessed extra features.
Also just the core synth functions - no layers, splits, arp, sequencer or effects. v1.01 4/19.
Skematic4 - (~Yamaha DX11). Approximates most of the features and functions. Added 2/20.
Skematic6 - (~Yamaha DX-line). A partial approximation of Yamaha-style 6-operator FM . Added 2/20.
SkematicGS - (~Yamaha GS1). Broadly emulates the architecture of Yamaha's first commercial FM instrument, which had a single
fixed algorithm of four Modulator/Carrier pairs with a few simple performance controls. Updated 7/20 to 64-bit
with re-sizable GUI.
S-One - (~Cwejman S1 semi-modular). Fairly complete emulation of features and structure with drop-down patching.
Added 6/18.
Skylab OS - Imagines a set of 'Old School' earlier-style Buchla 200 modules in a Skylab configuration. Latest update: 5/18
Sovereign I - (~MFB Dominion I)
spirit of Spirit - (~Crumar Spirit). Latest update: 5/18. Much-improved, more complete, Vicanek custom oscillators and filters.
SubStick - (~Moog Sub Phatty). A very simplified (no sub-menu functions, hidden 'pages', etc.) approximation of the structure
the Phatty, but in more standard Moog dark panel GUI and coupled with an emulation of the Octave CatStick.
Added 4/18
